My Drone Pads patch stopped working. What do I do?
If you can’t hear the drone pads:
Check the volume knobs, octave up/down buttons and also the on/off buttons of both synth slots. Sometimes the volume for the pads gets turned down and then saved to your Nord’s computer that way.
If the pads are distorted:
If the pads sound distorted or really low, it means that the keyboard range has been accidentally adjusted for the drone pads sample. If this happens, it can result in the drone pads being pitch-adjusted many octaves lower, or even cancel out the pad sound entirely. Make sure that the drone pads synth slot is mapped to the highest octave of your Nord only.
If the pads will not sustain:
It could also mean that the hold button located in the Synth Section has been turned off. This ‘Hold’ button is what controls the pads’ sustain functionality. Please make sure that this button is always turned ON and left on while you are playing.
If the patch still isn’t working, delete the patch entirely using Nord Sound Manager and drag in a fresh copy of the Drone Pads patch.
